We’ve Launched: Cape Town Collective’s Legal Chambers Are Officially Open

We’re proud to share that on 22 May 2025, we officially launched Cape Town Collective’s Legal Chambers — a dedicated workspace designed exclusively for the legal community right here in the heart of Cape Town’s legal district.

The launch event was held on the seventh floor of Wale Street Chambers, and what a day it was. We welcomed members of The Cape Bar, PABASA, AFSA, and legal professionals from firms big and small. The room was buzzing, and we were honoured to host Western Cape Premier Alan Winde, Councillor Ian McMahon, media representatives, and even a few government guests. A special thank you goes to our keynote speaker, Tim Harris, former CEO of Wesgro, who’s now championing urban renewal through the Mission for Inner City Cape Town.

Why We Built Legal Chambers

When we started Cape Town Collective, we knew there was a better way for legal professionals to work. We heard the same frustrations from so many of you  high overheads, admin headaches, and the challenge of finding secure, professional office space within walking distance of court.

Our seventh-floor Legal Chambers includes 60 private offices, boardrooms, high-volume printing facilities, concierge-style support, and beautifully designed pause areas. Tenants have access to secure parking, on-site showers, and a court messenger service when needed. It’s everything you need to get through a demanding workday with ease and efficiency.

We’ve also integrated a digital client portal so you can manage bookings and facilities from wherever you are. And yes,  we even made sure the interiors are polished, modern, and thoughtfully curated. We partnered with Cape Town and Miami-based artist Sonny Behan to create two bespoke murals that reflect the energy and professionalism of our community

Cape Town Collective is part of something bigger. Legal Chambers is just one piece of a much larger inner-city revitalisation project. With the support of partners like the Cape Town Central City Improvement District (CCID) and MICCT, our development spans a full city block. Each floor covers 1 200 square metres,  the equivalent of a six-storey building per floor, and we’re committed to making the CBD safer, more vibrant, and more inclusive.
